Wedding card QR codes that guests actually scan
Indian wedding invitations often combine tradition with utility. A small QR on the insert can link to Google Maps for the mandap or banquet hall, a Typeform RSVP, or a curated photo gallery.
If you include UPI for gifts, add clear copy next to the QR so older relatives understand intent—avoid QR-only with no context.
Test print on the actual card stock; foils and metallics can hurt contrast—adjust module colour or increase size.
- Use H error correction if the card includes a monogram in the centre.
- Keep at least 4-module quiet zone around the code.
- Provide a short URL fallback for guests without camera access.
Questions
- Should the QR be on the front or insert?
- Inserts give more space for size and explanatory text; front placement works if the QR is large enough and not competing with artwork.
